Steingrube ,2025

Steingrube is an independent documentary photography project developed as part of my Integrated Design studies. I approached people in public spaces across Hildesheim and invited them for a portrait. The resulting series creates a photographic cross-section of the city: a collection of individual faces, encounters and brief conversations that reflects the diversity of everyday life in Hildesheim. The project became an early exploration of trust, direct encounter and portraiture in public space. It also served as a practical test project for my Master’s project, Still Working. Alongside the photographic series, I designed a book publication and presented the work in a small exhibition during the university’s annual graduate show.
