In autumn 2023, I conducted trend research to identify relevant colour directions for 2024. I reviewed more than 40 design and trend platforms and collected several hundred visual references, which I then clustered by colour, material, mood and recurring themes. This process resulted in a series of focused trend worlds. One of these was Soft Lineal, a direction defined by calm tonal combinations, softened contrasts and a balanced visual language. Based on this research, I developed a colour collection that was translated into large-scale analogue banners and presented at the university’s annual exhibition.
